I studied Physics at Balseiro Institute (Argentina). I did a PhD in Computational Neuroscience at the same institution. In 2017 I moved to Norway to do a postdoc in the lab led by May-Britt Moser and Edvard Moser. During my postdoc I leveraged my quantitative background to perform analyses of large-scale recordings. I also performed electrophysiological recordings. In 2024 I opened my lab at the Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience.
In addition to neuroscience, I love traveling, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.

Julien Ballbe
Postdoc
I graduated from SupBiotech, a biotechnology engineering school in Paris. Next, I pursued a master in Computational Neurosciences and Neuroengineering from the university Paris Saclay and a PhD at the University Paris Cité. I’m interested in understanding the link between heterogeneity of cell types and network dynamics. In my free time, I enjoy taking my dogs for a walk, running and practicing photography.

Lea Marie Braun
PhD student
I have a background in Mathematics from the University of Cologne and a Master in Neuroscience from NTNU. I am fascinated by the application of data analysis methods to calcium imaging and Neuropixels data with regard to ultraslow oscillations and sequences.
In my spare time, I enjoy running and hiking in the beautiful nature around Trondheim.

Jordan Feldman
Fulbright student – Visiting researcher
I graduated from Brown University (Providence, Rhode Island) with an undergraduate degree in Applied Math-Biology and a Masters in Applied Math. I am broadly interested in using mathematical tools to understand the dynamics of networks of neurons. I received a Fulbright fellowship to study the intrinsic dynamics of the medial entorhinal cortex at Kavli, focusing on ultraslow activity during sleep. Outside of research, I love biking, hiking, and trying new recipes.

Neneva Hanssen Rambø
Master student
I have a background in Psychology and Computer Science. Since I became fascinated by how neural processes could be modeled and understood computationally, now I am pursuing an MSc in Neuroscience at NTNU. For my master thesis, I will build computational models to study mechanisms controlling the timescale of network dynamics. Outside of studying, I enjoy dancing, concerts, and reading fiction.
